MEET THE GIRL BEHIND THE CAMERA

I'm a lover of all things Jesus, Faith, Family and Love. A little about me: I'm a Pinterest crafting mom, former ballerina, Joanna Gaines enthusiast, and planner of all the things (some say perfectionist, I say I pour my heart and soul into what I do because that's one of my love languages.) I LOVE to journal while reading my bible, I enjoy a delicious decaf caramel macchiato whenever I can; especially while I'm editing (yes I said decaf, lol.) The beach and the mountains are my fav vacation spots, butterflies hold a special place in my heart, and tacos, chips and cheese dip I could literally live off of. If I'm not behind the camera, editing, experimenting with my gift, or gaining more knowledge through education, I'm soaking up every minute I can with my family.

I'm married to my high school sweetheart and the one who knows me best. Our love story is a true testament of how LOVE CONQUERS ALL. We have three beautiful children, whom I stay home with...some may say my hands are full, (they always are) but my heart, it's definitely fuller. They're my drive to achieve success and mastering this incredible gift the good Lord blessed me with. He truly deserves all the credit. I'm just here to capture the glorious creations He has made, that being you!

As my photography journey grows I'm always looking for new ways to expand my knowledge, celebrate and serve others, connect with my fellow photogs, and be a light in this forever changing world. But where did this passion of mine all begin you ask? Well, to perfectly sum it up, the answer is FAITH...yes, I trusted in God and listened to His guidance to take a chance on photography and what at the time felt like the most scariest leap of my life. But y'all, God is oh so good and He has truly transformed my heart, my business, and this dream in so many ways and I'm continuously blown away each time He does.

Little back story...let's rewind it back to the first camera I ever put in my hands, it was a Nikon D3500 and my mother-in-laws at that. Put it this way, it had a built in flash. Yeah, that. At that time, it was the nicest camera I'd ever seen and when my oldest came along, I wanted to be able to take pics of him, but like many parents, didn't have the extra money to invest in photos (I so wish I had fit it into my budget for them to be done at least once a year.) So I would capture any special moment of him, family and friends. Fast forward to 2021, I purchased my first REAL camera, my Canon 6D Mark II, and it was the best purchase I ever made. It helped kick this dream of mine into high gear and it will always hold a special part in my photography journey. I know boast a mirrorless Canon R6 Mark II and thank God for providing me the means to add more equipment to my photographer gear collection.

All in all, photography is more than just capturing pretty pictures, it's truly being able to relive them. And I've always wished that I could pause time for those special moments to hold onto forever. In a way I do just that, but with a click of my camera. Looking back on those memories and reliving them is what I ultimately strive for. God creates the beauty and my camera and I are a witness to it...so take my advice, book the appointment, prepare for the unexpected, and smile because it's in the one-of-a-kind moments where the beauty of love truly shines through.
